There are many spectacular indoor and outdoor venues to discover at Hengrave Hall, and the views from within its grounds can only be described as breathtaking.


The formal gardens host in excess of one thousand David Austin roses, and the elegant gravel pathways lead to an exquisite lily pond and enchanting centrepiece statue. Its lawns and meadows stretch out toward undiscovered locations, while pleached lime trees adorn the edges of this natural haven.

 

Whatever the occasion, Hengrave Hall will be available for your exclusive use on the the day of your event.

 

The Hall itself offers mesmerising features that would serve to enhance any number of events.
A spacious centre courtyard comprises panoramic views of the outdoor architecture and provides an idyllic location for reception drinks or other welcoming attractions.

 

The Church of St John Lateran sits just a few steps from the Hall itself and is licensed for marriages and blessings.

It can seat a maximum of 120 people.

 

The Great Banqueting Hall, completely restored with carved figured finials, regal arches and a large open fireplace. It offers space and grandeur for civil ceremonies, conference speeches, significant evening dinners or events or weddings.

The Long Gallery, with its fine timber panelling, crystal chandeliers, subtle tones and charming view of the west garden, is perfect for wedding breakfasts or other jovial affairs.
Seats a maximum of:

136 people on long tables; or

120 people on round tables; or

110 people with a long top table and guests on round tables.

 

Please note that the overall venue capacity for evening events in the Hall is 250 however it is possible to accommodate larger events of up to 450 people in a marquee.


The Dining Room, located next to the Banqueting Hall and containing its own remarkable Jacobean fireplace, is an ideal space for intimate dinners, business meetings, conferences and is even licenced for civil weddings.
Seats a maximum of 60 people.

 

The Library with it's fireplace, grand piano and large window looking out over the front lawn this room offers space for an intimate civil ceremony, business lunch or reception drinks.

Seats a maximum of 20 people.

 

The Chapel, known as the Oratory, contains a beautiful sixteenth-century window with stained glass, depicting twenty-one biblical scenes from the Creation to the Last Judgement. This beautifully preserved piece of architecture is guaranteed to astound all who visit Hengrave.

 

The Retiring Room offers the perfect opportunity for guests to relax and reflect on the days excitement,
whilst  the Play Room is fully equipped with a selection of games and toys to ensure our younger guests are entertained.

 

Queen Elizabeth Chamber, so called because Elizabeth I is reported to have used the chamber during her visit to Hengrave, is elegantly panelled in oak, with Tudor roses, fleurs de lis and the initials 'ER' moulded into the ceiling. It is the perfect location for the bride as she prepares for her big day.  It is also the bridal suite.

 

To complement the Bridal Room, there is the spacious Blue Chamber for the groom to take a moment to relax.
